YOUNG MIND YOUNG BODY Transformational Approach to Rejuvenating Youth and Vitality edition by Sue Ziang Health Fitness Dieting eBooks

Life is passing you by, yet you don’t have the energy needed to fully participate, let alone having the vibrant body and resilient mind to live the life you occasionally dream of living. Is this is all there is to life, just here to pay bills, fulfill responsibilities, weighed down by life , and die a little everyday walking around lifeless?
I existed that way for a decade, at a time when my daughter was in her belief forming years. The angry response I displayed which was triggered by life’s never ending demand had left deep marks on her, besides my own excessive body weight of pain, bitterness, resentment, borderline diabetes, brain fog, extreme fatigue, deep depression, and lost with no meaning and purpose in life.
I am so grateful that the challenges in life had and continue to serve me as the force in waking me up to the very truth that I alone hold the power to my best health best body and best life. This realization leads to the releases of blames to my circumstances for the way my life turned out to be, and empowers me to make choices that moves me toward the life that inspires me to get up early in the morning eager to partake in the day laying right in front of me.
I am in awe, in inspiration, to share this feeling good sensation in my body with the whole world. It is an experience to behold when you feel spring in your footsteps, and hear a song, the uni-verse, the one song, in stillness, and feel extraordinary living an ordinary life.
We don’t know what we don’t know. We are not doing ourselves service to live unaware. We could save ourselves tons of suffering by changing the way we view and live our lives. When we do, we can reverse premature aging caused by unnecessary mind-induced stress, and the vibration we emit can gradually shift the behavior of the loved ones in our life, without us telling them what to do.
YOUNG MIND YOUNG BODY has detailed a time-tested commons sense approach that gets me to this place of blissful living. Just maybe, you too might feel the magic of everyday life where you feel vibrant, healthy and content. That radiant glowing smile straightly from your soul draws people in, and you are raising the vibration of the world we all share, by simply being the amazing being YOU are. In the process, a host of symptoms such as depression, brain fog, fatigue, excessive weight, diabetes, restlessness etc. might simply disappear, as a by-product of this new mindful living you have created for yourself.

YOUNG MIND YOUNG BODY Transformational Approach to Rejuvenating Youth and Vitality edition by Sue Ziang Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
Thank you to Booktasters for the opportunity to read this books in exchange for an honest review.
As someone trying to work towards a healthier lifestyle, I found this book a wonderful and easy read. It can be overwhelming knowing where to start and what to focus on when trying to take the first steps. Sue provides a holistic approach with practical and easy to implement steps towards a better, healthier life. With emphasis on shifting your perspective and living a more mindful life Sue shares how you can live a healthier life helping you to stay young and incorporating steps for better physical, mental and spiritual health. I really enjoyed the author sharing her own experiences, demonstrating how it really is possible to turn things around and live a less stressful and hectic life. This is definitely a great book to keep around for inspiration and as a reference book for years to come! I highly recommend this book.
Full disclosure I am a woman too-quickly approaching a ‘milestone’ birthday; I have 4 school-aged kids, a fast-paced professional career, I work out 7 days a week and eat clean “most of the time”. I’ve dabbled in intermittent fasting, ketogenic and paleo diets, vegetarianism & veganism, meditation, massage, essential oils, vitamin C serum, DIY cosmetics, reflexology, and Kate Bush. I confess that I have a weakness for workout and nutrition books and articles, constantly trolling them for tips on nutrition & eating, workouts, motivation, etc.
So this is not my first foray into the nutrition/fitness/self-help genre.
I came to Young Mind Young Body by Sue Ziang, looking to see if I could pull something unique and/or inspiring out of it. I was drawn to the book, because of its broad scope (discussed below) and the impressive credentials of the author, who is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner and a Certified Medical Primordial qigong teacher. (Note Qigong is defined as “a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to tai chi..” It is more generally a holistic and systemic approach to health and well-being.)
In the Introduction, Ms. Ziang explains that she was born and raised in China and moved to the U.S. in 1993. She was a driven, ambitious and apparently successful entrepreneur after graduating from a demanding U.S. MBA program. But something was missing, and worse, her lifestyle was taking a huge toll on her body and mindset.
Lucky for us, she used that realization to spur her to dig deep into research on aging, nutrition, and exercise. Eventually, she enrolled in the Health Coaching Training Program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her goal to help people – like all of us – who “wanted so much more out of life yet were too tired and fatigued to do anything besides fulfilling daily responsibilities.”
I love this book. Here’s why
In essence, the author’s idea is that we are held back not by our chronological age but, rather, by the bad habits and choices that we make in living, including eating. The outward manifestation of aging – i.e. what we look like, how we move, how we relate to others – is simply a reflection of our inner state. If we are overweight, it is an expression of mindless living, which can be helped immeasurably, she says, by “a subtle mindset and lifestyle shift and a change in food choices [to] transform lives from daily struggling to effortless grace, from overwhelm to ease, from holding on to letting go…”
But, the same goes for virtually every part of our lives, not just weight, the author tells us “[O]nce healthy practices become part of your life, living is as easy and effortless as putting one foot in front of the other, the way driving becomes second nature and breathing is your involuntary life support.”
This thoughtful book is well worth a read. First of all, it’s very relatable, meaning that it is easy to read, and that almost anyone could get something (probably a lot) out of it.
Second, it actually gives you practical guidance and tools to establish healthy life-changing routines and habits, instead of telling you how the book will change your life without ever really giving guidance on how to make those changes. I appreciated tips and guidance on detoxification and daily routines, but there is a lot of helpful information in a lengthy chapter on nutrition & eating, as well as a very interesting and pragmatic approach to activity, which the author calls, “the Concept of Life as a Workout.”
Third, this is a comprehensive lifestyle approach, including chapters on nutrition and eating, exercise, sleep habits, meditation and spirituality, detoxification, grappling with cravings, etc. A lot of these sort of books deal with only one issue reasonably well – working out, or eating, or “lifestyle” (whatever that means to you) – or they try to tackle them all but end up being a-centimeter-deep-and-a-mile wide. I really liked that the author tackled the major touch-points of wellness and did an admirably serviceable job at everything. Don’t expect the book to give you recipes and detailed track workouts or yoga routines. That’s not the goal of this book. Rather, it is about a systemic approach to health and wellness, including nutrition, exercise, and relaxation.
Finally, and most important for me, because I love to read, and bad writing really bothers me – it is extremely well written. It’s not a dry academic book. It not vapid. It’s not goofy and over-familiar. It doesn’t try sound like something that someone wrote as a rant on FaceBook. The best way to describe it is “professional and comfortable” it is like talking to a friend who really knows what the heck she is talking about, and – most importantly – doesn’t judge.
True, the author can make it sound like a (sometimes) seismic lifestyle shift is more effortless than it (sometimes) actually is “Once you set a habit, following it is a breeze. All you do is just do it, be with yourself and show up for yourself . . .” That kind of buoyancy can be daunting to a reader struggling to make even a small shift to eating more fruits and vegetables, let along losing 60 pounds.
But her larger point is well taken good health, a sense of well-being, weight management, etc. isn’t a single event, it’s a comprehensive, holistic, systemic lifestyle that requires daily maintenance. Certainly, it isn’t achieved over night; it’s about making small changes in your life and sticking with them as best as possible to add up to the way that you want to live your life in the most meaningful way achievable. The key is that, if you do it right, and you own it, then over time, it just becomes a habit that you can’t (or don’t want to) break – you can’t imagine living your life any other way you look forward to your daily physical activity, you like to eat clean, you seek out and foster relationships with positive influences & joyful people.
People – me included – pay a lot of money and spend a lot of time getting the kind of guidance that you get in this book. I’m not judging that – sometimes we need to go somewhere and drop $125 an hour to get this kind of guidance. Fair enough. But for those who aren’t inclined or don’t want to spend that kind of time or money, or are just curious, there is this great book -- which I would recommend without reservation.
If you are looking for real change in your eating, life, body, energy levels, etc., and you are really ready to commit to it, then I would take a look at this book. It may be just what you need.
The author writes and explains everything so easily. It is a pleasure to read. Wonderful information to assist everyone in living a healthy life.
Congratulations to you Sue, hard work paid off!
This is truly a wonderful book. Not only is it a great first-time read, but it will certainly serve as a great reference for years to come. It may well become the 21st-century's new classic that defines a movement toward wellness and holistic health.
I recommend this book for those who have heard about healthy lifestyles, but don't really know what that might look like in real life. Sue Ziang walks the reader through the many facets encompassed by the term healthful living. Her personal examples and conversational style make it easy for the reader to put all of the puzzle pieces together. The book is motivational, inspirational and practical.
Sue Ziang offers such a logical and common-sense approach to a subject that many, many people are struggling with today. It's time to nurture ourselves and become the best we can be. The better our physical health - which will improve our mental outlook - the more we can enjoy our journey. If you are ready for a change in your mindset and lifestyle choices, this book is for you!
